Title

Minty Green

Description

Like their father and Robert H. Elton before them, the McLoughlin brothers included games and paper toys in their stock from the beginning of the firm in 1858. They produced an extensive line of paper dolls, starting with tiny one-cent dolls (Series 1: a doll and two outfits) and up to twenty-cent dolls (Series 4) that included two dolls and fancier, multipart outfits. Minty Green was a Series 2 doll and sold for ten cents. Paper dolls of all kinds, from uniformed paper soldiers to brides, would remain a part of the company’s production until at least 1920.
