The Harry and Jane Dewey Lecture is an occasional talk presented in memory of Henry "Harry" Bowen Dewey (1924‒2023) and in honor of Jane Kenah Dewey. A lawyer and Worcester civic leader, Harry served on the AAS Council from 1972 to 1980. One of AAS’s longest-serving volunteers, Jane has worked in the Society’s Manuscripts Department for more than thirty-five years. This series is supported by a gift from Carol Goodman Kaufman and Joel M. Kaufman.
