Hallie Hobson

Hallie Hobson is a playwright from New York City. Her previous works have blended history and reality as she seeks to tell stories about African American people and their communities, in both contemporary and historical settings. Hobson has written several plays including The Mahogany Millionaire: The Life and Times of Madame C. J. Walker, A Tribute to Paul Robeson, and Corregidora, an adaption of Gayl Jones’ novel of the same title. Hobson also has experience working in theater productions ranging from the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California to the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.
