Graham S. Hood

1936-2021

Graham Hood died September 6, 2021. Over a curatorial career of nearly four decades, Hood served at the Wadsworth Atheneum, the Yale University Art Gallery, the Detroit Institute of Art, and for twenty-six years at Colonial Williamsburg, where he was vice president for collections and museums and Carlisle H. Humelsine Chief Curator. While at Colonial Williamsburg he led the historic renovation of the Governor’s Palace and oversaw the planning and construction of the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum.
