Award-winning historian and AAS member T.H. Breen will discuss his new book, The Will of the People, which argues that without the participation of ordinary people during the colonial rebellion, there would have been no victory over Great Britain.

A Guggenheim fellow, Breen has held appointments at the Institute for Advanced Study and the National Humanities Center as well as the Pitt Professorship of American History and Institutions at Cambridge University and the Harmsworth Professorship at Oxford University. He was elected to membership at the American Antiquarian Society in 1994.
