A collection of short stories; topics include Dakota Indian courtship, dandies, outdoor life, and nightmares. Both printer Guy Swan (1883-1975) and his sister Arista Kulamanu Swan (1880-1951), who contributed to this book, were of Hawaiian descent. Guy became a professional printer and newspaper linotype operator in Santa Cruz, California. Arista worked as a secretary and later was a professional singer and vocal teacher.
