A contemporary history of amateur journalism coauthored by William Lewis Terhune (1850-1936), Will A. Fiske (1853-1878), and Richard Gerner (1855 or 1856-1885). Partly printed by sixteen-year-old Malcom Douglass Mix (1859-1896), who later worked as a newspaper editor and printer in Batavia, New York, and in Alamosa, Colorado.
