Odds and Ends was edited by William A. Tanner (1835-1893) and published by students of School District No. 4 in Rochester, New York, during 1850. They include several made-up anecdotes and stories about explorers and travellers fighting Native Americans, robbers, or wild animals. These featured violence, adventure, sea travel, and hunting. They also included poems and puzzles.
