The Weekly Offering

The Weekly Offering was published by students of Atkinson Academy in Atkinson, Rockingham County, N.H. during 1850. It includes moralistic and religious reflections about death, sorrow, and courtship, local notices, and puzzles. One of the articles is titled "Attempt at Suicide," and describes the story of man that attempted to drown himself in the Merrimack River after a heartbreak. The paper is held together by a green ribbon.
