The Scholars Casket was published and edited by students of the school in District No. 26 in Weare, Hillsborough County, N.H. from 1854 to 1855. They wrote about health and exercise, morality, including politeness and self-improvement, the printing press, country life, education and school, and anecdotes including their fellow schoolmates. There is also an article in which one of the contributors, Frank, writes a response to an ongoing argument with an unnamed person in which Frank describes his disdain and contempt for marriage.
