The Casket is a handwritten newspaper edited by Sarah J. Davidson (ca. 1842- ) and Eunice W. Brewer (ca. 1840- ) in Boylston, Worcester County, Massachusetts, during 1857. It includes moralistic and religious reflections selected by its contributors, as well as puzzles and short stories. This particular issue was the last of this newspaper, as the editors indicate in the introduction that "'The Casket now makes its last appearance. We feel truly grateful to our contributors, that they have continued their efforts to the last, to make it a useful and entertaining paper."
