The Maine Reform is a handwritten newspaper, edited by Lucy J. Howard (ca. 1843- ) and Caroline Eastman (ca. 1841- ) in Maine during 1858.
It includes moralistic and religious reflections, puzzles and riddles, short stories, poems, and local notices. Some of the titles of the articles inlcude "Things of the Past," "Habit," "My Kitten," and "Old Bachelor."
The contributors are listed on the cover page of the paper as follows: Elvira Eastman, L.R. Elliot, Fanny L. Eastman, Eunice Eastman (ca. 1845- ), and Elmira Eastman. In the editorial, they ask their readers to "not criticize our 'Our Paper' too closely. As you will know it is our first attempt since the school commenced."
