It includes fables, puzzles, poems, and articles about family, motherhood, and death. The contributors include William M. Jones (ca. 1841- ), Minnie Lee (ca. 1848- ), Selora A. Warren (ca. 1848- ), Jerome E. Porter (ca. 1841), Agnes (Aggie) M. Stevens (ca. 1844- ), Warren Stone (ca. 1842), Gussie Ames, and Josenah Hallenbake (ca. 1847).
Albion Academy was located in Albion, Orleans County, N.Y. It is described in the annual catalog for the year 1867 that the Academy building was situated on the western part of the village. Boarding was available in the vicinity "at reasonable prices." Some of the courses included arithmetic, physical geography, history of the United States, grammar, book-keeping, and natural philosophy, among others.
