The Little Acorn

The Little Acorn is a handwritten newspaper, likely published in Massachusetts during 1865. The cover of the paper is adorned with a drawing in ink of three acorns and two leaves; their motto being "Great Oaks from Little Acorns Grow."

It mostly includes moralistic and religious reflections, especially around school and education, and obeying the teacher. There are also a few articles on a variety of topics such as steam, trees, the toys the children played with, and their clothes.

The contributors are listed by first name only and include Nelly, Fanny, Hannah, Katy, Martha, Cynthia, and Adelia.
