Celebrating Worcester’s 300th Anniversary

Interested in learning more about Worcester’s past? What did kids learn in school and what games and sports did they play to pass the time? Where did people work and what kinds of industries and activism shaped the city? Join us in person as we explore some of these questions and celebrate the 300th anniversary of Worcester!

This in-person program is free and open to all ages. Visitors can drop in anytime between 5:30- 7:00pm on September 28th to view Worcester-themed collection material and chat about them with AAS curators and staff. Items will range from nineteenth century letters and diaries to colorful children’s games, valentines, newspapers, photographs, numerous items from the Brown Family Collection, and much more! On the way out, visitors will also have the chance to take home souvenirs related to Worcester and AAS!
