The article presents the outline of the proceedings of the semi-annual meeting of the American Antiquarian Society, held on April 25, 1888 at the Hall of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. A list of presiding members is given. The society annual reports regarding membership, finance and the society library are discussed. The presentation of the sword of the colonial Connecticut Governor Fitz-John Winthrop to the society is also described.
