The Aborigines of Australia.

The article presents an ethnographic overview of Aboriginal Australians. Description is offered regarding the Australian environment and the physical characteristics of the indigenous peoples. Diverse elements of Aboriginal culture are described in passing, including foodways, customs in family and child rearing, and industry. Further discussion is offered concerning their language, religion, and warfare. Conclusions are also given lamenting their disappearance due to the expansion of the British presence on the continent.
