A Forgotten Patriot.

A biography of U.S. Revolutionary War general John Whitcomb is presented. Whitcomb was born in Bolton, Massachusetts in 1712 and was raised by his uncle, blacksmith Joseph Sawyer. He served as a ranger in expeditions to battle Indians and as a representative for Bolton in the Massachusetts General Court. He later served in the military during the French and Indian War and participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War.
