A Singular Ancient Work.

The article discusses fortifications made on a plateau in the Little Miami Valley in Warren County, Ohio. The author describes his observations of the circumvallation, a wall made from stones and burnt clay that included traces of limestone, charcoal and ash. The fortifications also included trenches dug alongside the wall. Other artifacts, including potsherds, points made from flint and arrow points, were discovered. The author notes that no evidence of habitation or burials was discovered at the site.
