Report of the Librarian.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society's (AAS) librarian is presented. The author recommends the creation of a fund to establish an alcove in the AAS Library that will house updated dictionaries and encyclopedias and comments on the contributions of Mary Gilbert Whitcomb as a library assistant. The donation of books, pamphlets, newspapers, engravings and manuscripts to the library, including facsimiles of European manuscripts on America, is discussed. The donation of a portrait of U.S. Revolutionary War colonel John May to the library is noted.
