Report of the Librarian.

The article presents a report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) librarian. The author comments on amendments to the society's by-laws and the classification of the society in a bibliography of historical societies published by the American Historical Association. The transfer of publications of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute from the AAS Library back to the Institute is noted. A letter by James W.A. Wright, principal of the Livingston Military School, regarding the inscription on an artifact called the Alabama Stone and how it relates to a battle fought by conquistador Hernando de Soto is presented. Donations of books, pamphlets, newspapers and photographs to the AAS Library are discussed.
