Palenque.

The article presents the author's observations regarding his visit to the Palenque archaeological site in Mexico. Details are given describing several elements of the Mayan Indian ruin, including the humid and densely vegetative environmental conditions, the architecture and hieroglyphic decoration of the structures themselves, and the author's personal aesthetic response to the size and scale of the antiquities found at the location. Particular attention is given to the stone carving and sculpture of the site's artifacts.
