Some Great Trusts in the United States.

French American philanthropist and banker Stephen Girard, founder of Girard College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, bequeathed large portions of his estate to the cities of New Orleans, Louisiana and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for social programs and endowments.
