Early New England Catechisms.

The article presents an in-depth examination into a series of early New England catechism books published between 1656 and 1740. Titles discussed include William Perkins' "The Foundations of Christian Religion, Gathered into Six Principles of Christian Religion," an appendix to the same work by John Robinson, and "The Westminster Assembly's Larger Catechism," released by the Church of England. Excerpts are included for each volume, highlighting feature questions and answers relating to theology of the Puritan era in New England. Comments are also given describing the popularity and use of each publication.
