The article presents a report by the American Antiquarian Society's (AAS) librarian. The author discusses how construction on a property adjoining land owned by the AAS will affect the AAS Library. The design of bookplates acquired by the society and donations of books, pamphlets, newspapers, manuscripts and photographs to the AAS are noted. Manuscripts focusing on work by minister Samuel Gilman were donated to the society. The author suggests that librarians should prevent the removal of any material from books and newspapers during binding.
