Report of the Council.

The article presents various reports concerning the management and activities of the American Antiquarian Society and its executive council as of October 1898. Announcements are given concerning the pending editing and publication of the late society member J. Hammond Trumbull's research on the languages of the Indians of Massachusetts. Discussion is offered relating to the larger corpus of published works on the subject. Comments are also given noting the recent deaths of several members, including William Stevens Perry.
