The article discusses the hosting of American Antiquarian Society (AAS) meetings in Boston, Massachusetts. The American Academy of Arts and Sciences extended an invitation for the AAS to utilize the Boston Athenaeum, which was being leased by the Academy. The author comments on the relocation of the AAS to Worcester, Massachusetts from Boston during the War of 1812. AAS meetings held at the Exchange Coffee House and other locations in Boston are noted. Changes to the AAS by-laws designated that annual meetings were to be held in Worcester while spring meetings were to be held in Boston. Excerpts from the diary of librarian Christopher Columbus Baldwin describing his travels to attend AAS meetings are provided.
