The article presents a report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) librarian. The author discusses the introduction of electric lighting into the AAS Library and procedures to prevent fires in the library. Acquisitions of books, pamphlets, newspapers, photographs and manuscripts by the library are noted. U.S. Civil War veteran Charles W. Wilson donated a letter written by soldier Ebenezer Holbrook during the U.S. Revolutionary War to the AAS. The by-laws of the AAS are reprinted, including information on the election of officers, the announcement of meetings and the admission of members.
