Report of the Librarian.

A report by the American Antiquarian Society's (AAS) librarian is presented. The examination of a tankard that had been donated to the AAS is discussed. The author comments on chemical research regarding the low quality of wood pulp paper used for the publication of literature. He notes election sermons of Massachusetts not in the AAS Library's collection and discusses donations of books, pamphlets, newspapers, photographs and manuscripts to the society. The donation of historical materials related to the Philippine Islands by AAS vice-president George Frisbie Hoar is also noted.
