The article presents discussion of the American Antiquarian Society's publication of several volumes regarding the native languages of the Indians of North America as of 1904. Comments are offered regarding the anthologies of the society's transactions which depict several ethnographic work such as those of Wilberforce Eames and Horatio Hale. The translation of a Bible into Algonquian is mentioned and praised for its accomplishments as a philological work. Additional mention is given to the works of James Hammond Trumbull, such as his collections of Native American place names and other dictionaries of Indian language.
