A report by the Council of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is presented. The indexing of the society's manuscripts by Charles H. Lincoln, an employee of the U.S. Library of Congress' manuscript division, is discussed. Efforts by the society's library committee to ensure the preservation of photographs and newspapers in its archives are described. The restoration of furniture owned by the society is discussed. The authors describe the financing of a committee to investigate the feasibility of publishing British royal proclamations regarding America. A donation to the AAS in the will of Worcester, Massachusetts resident Eliza D. Dodge is noted.
