The article presents a report by the librarian of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS). The author discusses rules of the AAS Council regarding the appointment of a committee to manage AAS library facilities and resources and the supervision of the AAS librarian by the committee. The donation of AAS library materials to institutions such as the Worcester Natural History Society is noted. The receipt of gifts such as books and pamphlets for the library from members and institutions, including a bequest by former AAS president Stephen Salisbury, is commented on.
