A report by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members Henry Charles Lea and George Park Fisher. He suggests the society will function more efficiently after it transfers its facilities to a building under construction and comments on the need for appropriate financing to properly exploit the building. AAS member Edward L. Davis changed the terms of his gift to the society to allow the funds to be used for general society purposes. Ethnological and archaeological items owned by the AAS were donated to the Peabody Museum at Harvard University.
