Some Bibliographical Desiderata in American History.

The article discusses the use of bibliographical methods in U.S. historical research. The author comments on the value of bibliographies in history research. He suggests the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) could collaborate with the Massachusetts Historical Society to update bibliographies from those in the book "Narrative and Critical History of America," by Justin Winsor, and that the society attempt to create bibliographies for U.S. periodicals and newspapers as well as U.S. statutes. He comments that bibliographies of travel literature as well as city and town histories and records are also required and discusses the need for bibliographies on the U.S. Revolutionary War and the U.S. Civil War.
