Report of the Council.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the need for repairs to the marble dome of the AAS building due to cracking and the inferiority of previous repairs with minwax. The deaths of AAS members Albert Harrison Hoyt, Frederic Ward Putnam and George Emery Littlefield are noted. Photostat copies of almanacs printed during the 17th century in Massachusetts have been made available to libraries. Increases to the cost of producing AAS publications are noted. Acquisitions to the newspaper collection of the AAS Library may result in the need for additional storage space.
