The article presents discussion of the history of Mill Brook in Worcester, Massachusetts during the initial 17th century settlements of the area. Details are given outlining the early property allotment of Worcester in the 1680s, highlighting the work of John Wing in establishing grist mills along the river. Reproductions of legal documents and letters pertaining to the land use and tenure of Mill Brook are included, particularly highlighting early legal disputes concerning the passing of the title and its contested borders. The continued use of Mill Brook in later centuries is reviewed. Abstracts of the land titles concerning the region as of the early 20th century are also reproduced.
