Report of the Council.

A report by the Council of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members Thomas Lindall Winthrop, Allen Clapp Thomas and Barrett Wendell. Fund-raising for the construction of an addition to the society's building to provide additional space for the AAS Library's collections is discussed. The history of the society's meetings at the Exchange Coffee House and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts and the scheduling of its annual meetings are noted.
