Some Early French Guiana Tracts an Addition to the Bibliography of El Dorado.

The article presents a discussion of a set of French tract manuscripts within the American Antiquarian Society archives describing the French colonial ventures in Guiana during the mid-17th century. Analysis of the pamphlets "Projet d'une compagnie pour l'Amerique" and "Acte d'Association passe entre les sous-signez, & Reconnu pardeuant Rallu & Blanche Notaires, pour l'etablissement des Colonies dans la Terre Ferme de l'Amerique" are given. Connections are also made between the contents of the tracts and the French colonial plans to locate and colonize the mythical location of El Dorado.
