Report of the Council.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members Arthur Lord and George Burton Adams. Samuel Utley has retired from the AAS Council. The reorganization of the AAS Library and the expansion of AAS collections focusing on the U.S. Civil War and Spanish America are discussed. The author states that the society has attempted to adjust for the delayed publication of the society's journal due to the Great War. The society has acquired portraits by artist Winthrop Chandler and has established a committee to investigate the expansion of its endowment fund. The elimination of annual fees for AAS members living in New England is noted.
