A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members Edward Sylvester Morse, Bernard Christian Steiner and Paul Vinogradoff and discusses the need for additional funds for the society to continue its work. The expansion of the AAS Library from the collections donated by AAS founder Isaiah Thomas and its collections of almanacs, newspapers and imprints are discussed. A bibliography of U.S. newspapers created by the society is noted.
