A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members Augustus George Bullock and Henry Phelps Johnston. A pamphlet issued to promote fund raising for the society's endowment is noted. A project to catalog manuscripts collected by the society has been resumed. The AAS will partner with the American Council of Learned Societies to produce a dictionary of American biographies. Newspapers collections donated to the society by AAS members Samuel Jennison, Franklin P. Rice and teacher Alfred S. Roe are noted.
