The Antigua Press and Benjamin Mecom, 1748-1765.

The article explores the publishing career of printer Benjamin Mecom, nephew to postmaster Benjamin Franklin. Emphasis is given to Mecom's work for newspapers in St. John's, Antigua, New Haven, Connecticut, and Boston, Massachusetts. The removal of a printing press from Antigua is examined.
