Additional Notes on Ratcliff and Ranger Bindings.

The article presents an examination of the book bindings on three volumes of pamphlets that belong to the American Antiquarian Society's Mather library. The article notes that the volumes were bound with tools belonging to book binder John Ratcliff, but there is evidence that two of the volumes were actually bound by Ratcliff's successor Edmund Ranger. The author compares the bindings of all three volumes in order to determine who most likely completed the work. The author examines the style of binding, the paper used and the printing that makes up the pamphlets.
