Report of the Council.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members George Foot Moore and Frederick W. Lehmann. A gift to the society by AAS Council member William E. Benjamin and bequests to the society from AAS members Samuel L. Munson and Henry W. Cunningham are discussed. The research organization American Council of Learned Societies donated funds to an AAS project to create a bibliography related to America. AAS librarian R.W.G. Vail has improved acquisitions for the AAS Library.
