The article presents the annual report of the chief librarian of the American Antiquarian Society, discussing the condition and developments of the association's collections and archives as of October 1945. An overview of accessions gained by the society during the year, including a complete list of books, pamphlets, prints, and newspapers acquired is given. Additional references are made to acquisitions of antiquities, such as daguerreotypes and portraits on display at the library building in Worcester, Massachusetts. Mention is also given to the resuming of standard mail and other services due to the end of World War II.
