The article presents a complete reproduction of the Orderly Books of the U.S. Revolutionary War Colonel William Henshaw of Massachusetts from October 1775 to October 1776. In them Colonel Henshaw describes his standing orders and issues regarding his command, the events and conditions of Massachusetts during the conflict which he witnessed in his travels, and several instances of military record documentation regarding filed complaints by officers, militia and regular muster schedules and calls for troop supplies.
