The article offers information on the activities of the library of the American Antiquarian Society. The author reflects on the development of a modern classification system and access to newspaper collections. Bibliographical projects include the copying and typing of marriage and death records reported in the "Columbian Centinel" newspaper. Acquisitions to the collection are noted including copper-plate engravings, engravings by silversmith Paul Revere, and a portrait of publisher Isaiah Thomas.
