Report of the Council.

The article reports on the activities of the American Antiquarian Society. The expansion of the society's library and erection of bookstacks are noted. Aspects of library reorganization are related such as rearrangement of manuscripts, increases in shelving and shelf-room, and the development of library collections. The author describes rare books, broadsides, Vermont imprints, songbooks, and juvenile literature being exhibited. Landscaping work done as a result of the library renovations is also discussed.
