William Bradford, Colonial Printer a Tercentenary Review.

Reviews the life and work of the first printer in Pennsylvania (1685) who later moved to New York and then New Jersey. Bradford printed New York's first lawbook (1694), the first published proceedings of an American legislature (New York, 1695), the first American 'Book of Common Prayer' (1706), the first history of New York (1727), the first copperplate plan of New York City (1730), and the first New York newspaper. He also trained a number of important colonial printers, was owner and operator of a paper mill, and was a farmer of the excise in New Jersey and an extensive land owner.
