Reports major acquisitions made during the year. Among the rare items were 'An Historical Discourse Concerning the Prevalency of Prayer' by Increase Mather (Boston, 1677) and 'The Door of Salvation Opened, Or, a Voice from Heaven to Unregenerate Sinners' by Dr. Deuel Pead (1734). Important acquisitions were also made in children's books, drama, New Hampshire items, Vermont imprints, carriers' addresses, newspapers (more than a ton of miscellaneous papers from the Dartmouth College Library), and general literature. Especially important was a gift of 1,363 works amounting to more than three thousand volumes by Dr. Gabriel Nadeau of Rutland, Massachusetts, on French Canada.
